The Team

Directors – Dennis and Anouska Villanueva

Dennis and Anouska Villanueva were born in the Philippines and came to Hong Kong in 1986. Both are permanent residents here and, while speaking excellent English, can also communicate in Cantonese.

It seems there are few people in Hong Kong who don’t know Dennis! He has worked at manager level since 1993 in various famous restaurants and clubs. Dennis was responsible for running a successful Vodka Bar V13 in early stage of the project on Old Bailey Street in Soho Area.

Dennis has also been manager at Soho Soho Restaurant, Mezz and the Go-Down, though became the *star* of Hong Kong bars when working for the ‘97 Group.

Anouska has also worked in F&B for many years. She has worked in high turnover venues such as La Trattoria Coffee Shop and Après Bar & Restaurant.

Executive Chef - Dave Maclean

Dave moved to Hong Kong from Sydney in Australia to head up the kitchen (and the then new bar), Alibi, which was on Wyndham Street in Central. After working in Alibi for 2 years, Dave moved to M A X Concepts and became Executive Chef for the group's premium restaurants; Mezz, Thai Basil & Armani Café.

Dave is now back down under. He is head chef at George's, a top quality restaurant chain in Sydney.
